Michael (“Mike”) B. Bruno has served as Managing Partner of Bruno & Tervalon, LLP, Certified Public Accountants, since 1978. He is directly responsible for client development, management consulting services as well as partner responsibility on various engagements.

Mr. Bruno graduated from Southern University at New Orleans in 1971, at which time he joined the audit staff of Ernst & Young’s Jackson, Mississippi office. There, he specialized in audits of governmental and non-profit entities. In 1973, he joined the staff of Brandon, Smith, and Jones, Certified Public Accountants based in Memphis, Tennessee where, as an Audit Manager, he continued to concentrate on government and non-profit engagements. In 1977, Mr. Bruno returned home to New Orleans and joined the firm of Rochon & Staes, Certified Public Accountants, and shortly thereafter in 1978, he started the firm of Bruno & Tervalon LLP, Certified Public Accountants.

During his career in public accounting, Mr. Bruno has concentrated heavily in both auditing and providing management consulting services in the public sector. He has experience auditing governmental and non-profit entities, secondary and post-secondary educational institutions inclusive of various charter schools, school boards, colleges and universities.

Mr. Bruno is licensed to practice in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Government Accountants. Mr. Bruno also carries the designation of Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM). Mr. Bruno currently serves on the State Board of Certified Public Accountants for the State of Louisiana.
